One Young World, the global community for young leaders, is seeking three new Programmes Fellows to join their team in London. This is a prestigious, fixed-term role running from January 2026 to November 2026.
As a Fellow, you will play a critical role in making the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town a reality. You will work directly with the brightest young talent from over 190 countriesβfrom social entrepreneurs and campaigners to tech innovators. Upon completion, you will graduate as a One Young World Ambassador, joining a lifelong network of changemakers.
Detailed Role & Key Responsibilities
The Programmes Team is responsible for identifying the world's most impactful young leaders and ensuring they can attend the Summit regardless of their financial means. Your duties will include:
1. Outreach & Admissions
- Scouting: Research and engage with incredible young leaders globally to ensure OYW's programmes reach the most impactful candidates.
- Selection: Support the admissions process to ensure the very best candidates are selected for scholarships and delegate spots.
2. Logistics & Delegate Support
You will be the frontline support for delegates coming from every corner of the globe.
- Travel & Visas: Assist with visa applications and work with travel agents to book flights.
- Housing: Coordinate with the housing team to reserve accommodation.
- Communication: Manage multiple email inboxes and handle incoming calls from scholarship and corporate delegates.
3. The Summit Experience
- During the Summit in Cape Town, you will be the main point of contact for delegates attending from more than 190 countries.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
This role is ideally suited for recent graduates or early-career professionals. However, there is one strict legal requirement:
1. Work Authorization (Strict)
- UK Right to Work: You must already have the legal right to work in the UK by the start of employment.
- No Sponsorship: One Young World cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
2. Skills & Traits
- Interest: Active interest in current affairs, sustainability, and geopolitical issues.
- Tech: Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Language: Fluency in English is required. An additional language is desirable.
- Personality: Confident telephone manner (outward-facing role) and high attention to detail.
