Overview of the Opportunity
The Government of NCT of Delhi has launched the Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students (College/Professional Institutions) for the academic year 2025–26. This initiative is designed to support meritorious students from disadvantaged communities who are pursuing higher education in professional or technical fields.
If you are a student in Delhi pursuing Medicine, Engineering, Law, or a Diploma, and you belong to the SC, ST, OBC, or Minority categories, this scholarship can provide significant financial relief. Selected candidates can receive up to ₹22,320 per year.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following strict criteria:
1. Citizenship & Domicile
- Must be an Indian Citizen.
- Must be a Domicile of Delhi (Resident of Delhi).
2. Category & Academic Marks
- Category: Must belong to the SC, ST, OBC, or Minority community.
- Marks: Must have scored at least 60% marks in the previous academic examination.
3. Income Limits
- OBC/Minority Students: Annual family income must be less than ₹3,00,000.
- SC/ST Students: There is NO income limit applicable.
4. Course Enrollment
You must be enrolled in a recognized institution (Professional, Technical, or Vocational) for one of the following levels:
- Undergraduate (UG)
- Postgraduate (PG)
- Diploma
- Certificate

The scholarship covers a vast range of professional and technical courses. Some key examples include:
Undergraduate (UG) & PG
- Medical/Science: Medicine, B.Sc. (Agri), Veterinary Science, Forensic Science, B.A.M.S, Ayurvedic, Unani, Homoeopathy.
- Engineering/Tech: Engineering, Higher Technical & Professional studies.
- PG Courses: Science subjects.
Diploma & Certificate
- Tech & Design: Architecture, Printing Technology, Draftsman, Surveying.
- Hospitality: Hotel Management, Catering.
- Arts & Media: Photography, Film Direction, Acting, Screenplay Writing, Sound Recording.
- Others: Pharmacy, Library Science, Physical Education, Law, Fire Service.

Required Documents
