2 Months Internship and Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS) @NUS, Fully Paid Programme in Singapore: Apply Before 15 January 2026

The National University of Singapore (NUS), consistently ranked as one of the top universities in the world, is inviting applications for its prestigious IRIS @ NUS program. Organized by the NUS Graduate School, this is a fully funded research immersion program designed to identify and groom the next generation of global researchers.

Lasting 2 to 3 months, IRIS welcomes exceptional students from ALL fields (Science, Engineering, Humanities, Medicine, etc.) across ASEAN and the world. This is not just an internship; it is a gateway to graduate studies. You will work in world-class facilities, tackle global challenges, and gain tangible graduate-level research experience.

Program Schedule & Duration

The program runs for 2 to 3 months. Successful applicants can choose between two intakes (subject to mentor availability):

• Intake 1: May to July 2026
• Intake 2: August to October 2026

Eligibility Criteria

IRIS is highly competitive. Applicants must meet the following strict criteria:

1. Academic Standing

• GPA: Must have a minimum overall or major GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrollment: Must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at an accredited university.
• Year of Study:
  • Undergraduates: Must have completed at least the first 2 years of their degree.
  • Master's: Must be in their 1st year of study.
• Status: Must maintain student status throughout the internship period (i.e., you cannot graduate before the internship ends).

2. Research Interest

• A genuine interest in academic research is essential. While prior experience is helpful, it is not mandatory if you can demonstrate strong potential.
• Priority: Priority will be given to applicants from ASEAN and less represented countries.

2. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Detailed, but no more than two A4 pages.
3. Personal Statement: Outline your previous academic/research experiences and your specific research interests.
