This is a high-level research role designed specifically for PhD students. You will sit at the intersection of data science and user experience, bringing statistical rigor to product design. Detailed Role & Key Responsibilities
As a UX Quant Intern, you won't just be running numbers; you will be crafting narratives that influence the product roadmap.
1. Methodology Mixed-Methods
You will explore the intersection of what users say (attitudes) and what they actually do (behaviors).
Surveys: Use survey methodologies to gather insights about Pinners, Creators, and Advertisers.
Log Analysis: Combine survey data with behavioral log analysis to model user attitudes alongside usage data.
2. Strategic Influence
Innovation: Use exploratory analysis to identify opportunities for new product features.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other Researchers to translate complex findings into compelling stories.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

1. Academic Status (Strict)
Degree Level: You must be currently enrolled in a PhD program (Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Applied Sciences, CS, or related fields).
Graduation Window: You must be on track to obtain your PhD by June 2027.
Undergraduates/Masters: This specific role is not open to Bachelor's or Master's students.
2. Location
Remote: This position is remote under Pinterest's "PinFlex" model.
Residency: You must be a US-based applicant. Relocation assistance is not provided.
3. Technical Skills
Coding: Experience using Python, R, or SQL is required.
Stats: Demonstrated experience in descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics.
Surveys: Strong background in survey methodology and experimental design.

Monthly Rate: The position pays a flat rate of $11,000 per month.
Internship Cohorts (Choose One)
The program runs for 12 weeks. You can select one of two start dates:
