MPI Europe is currently accepting applications for its 2026 Internship Program. Detailed Role & Key Responsibilities
As an intern at MPI Europe, you are not just an observer; you are an active contributor to the research team. Your responsibilities will cover:
1. Research & Analysis
You will dive deep into the data and policies that shape movement across Europe.
Support Research: Contribute to ongoing research projects and prepare literature reviews.
Publications: Assist with the dissemination of publications that influence policymakers.
Data: Engage in quantitative or qualitative research tasks (depending on your skills).
2. Events & Networking
Policy Events: Attend and summarize public and private high-level policy events in Brussels.
Logistics: Provide administrative support for migration-related events and senior management activities.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
MPI Europe seeks motivated candidates with a strong academic background. Please note the strict work permit requirement.
1. Education & Experience
Degree: Must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree or be currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.
Availability: Must be available full-time for the entire duration (March to December 2026).
Interest: Demonstrated interest in migration, asylum, or immigrant integration is essential.
2. Language Skills
English: Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
Other Languages: Native-level proficiency in Spanish and/or French is highly preferred for the current openings.
3. Work Authorization (Crucial)
No Sponsorship: MPI Europe does not provide visa sponsorship.
Requirement: Only candidates who already have the legal right to work in Belgium will be considered.
Compensation & Benefits
MPI Europe offers a competitive package under a professional immersion contract (convention d’immersion professionnelle):
Monthly Stipend:€1,310.15.
Meal Vouchers: Lunch vouchers worth €8 per working day (usable in supermarkets and restaurants).
Transport: Reimbursement of public transport costs (prorated).
Note: Relocation expenses are not covered.
