FSSAI Internship January 2026: Apply Online for Govt Internship (₹10,000 Stipend) Deadline, 19 December 2025

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has officially released the notification for the January 2026 Internship Scheme. This is a prestigious Government Internship opportunity for students pursuing higher education in Science, Law, IT, and Management.

This program allows students to work directly with FSSAI officials at their Headquarters in New Delhi or Regional Offices in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ghaziabad. It is designed to provide hands-on training in food safety standards, regulations, and administration.

Eligibility Criteria (Who Can Apply?)

FSSAI is very strict about eligibility. Only currently enrolled students can apply. Students who have completed their degree (Graduated) are NOT eligible.

1. Science & Technology Students

Must be pursuing a Post-Graduate Degree, B.Tech, or B.E. in:

• Food Technology / Dairy Tech / Oil Tech
• Chemistry / Biochemistry / Toxicology
• Microbiology / Industrial Microbiology
• Agricultural or Horticultural Sciences
• Life Sciences / Biotechnology

2. Business & Management

• Students pursuing MBA (Day classes) in Finance, HR, Marketing, or Policy Regulation.

3. Legal & Policy

• Students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.

4. Information Technology (IT)

• B.Tech / B.E. students in 3rd or 4th Year (Computer Science / IT).
• MCA students.

Stipend & Benefits

Selected interns will receive financial support and certification upon successful completion.

• Stipend: A lump sum of ₹10,000 for the entire internship period. (Note: This is performance-linked and paid only if the intern is recommended by the office).
• Certificate: A government certificate issued by FSSAI.
• Experience: Hands-on exposure to national-level food safety protocols.

Internship Details

• Duration: Minimum 2 months (can be extended up to 6 months).
• Mode: Offline/In-Office (Regular working hours).
• Equipment: Interns must bring their own laptops.
• Accommodation: No accommodation or travel allowance is provided.

Candidates can apply for the following locations based on available domains:

• New Delhi (FDA Bhawan): Regulations, Standards, HR, IT, Legal, International Cooperation.
• Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Chennai (NFL): National Food Laboratories (Lab/Technical roles).
• Mumbai & Chennai (Regional Offices): Import clearance and food inspection.
