Indian Army Internship 2026 (IAIP): Apply for High-Tech Roles With ₹1,000 Daily Stipend

The Indian Army is inviting applications for its prestigious Internship Program (IAIP) – 2025. Under the theme "Beyond Silos, Beyond Limits," the Army is opening its doors to bright young technical minds to join its high-tech force.

This is not a drill; this is a chance to work on live defense projects. Selected interns will develop cutting-edge software applications and AI models that power the Nation's defense systems. You will gain hands-on experience in building military-grade secure applications at the forefront of innovation.

The Tech Stack: What Will You Build?

The Indian Army is utilizing a highly modern tech stack. Interns will work across the following domains:

• AI & ML: Data Analytics, Autonomous Systems, SLMs (Small Language Models), LLMs (Large Language Models), and Agentic AI.
• Frontend: React, Next.js, Angular, Svelte, Flutter, Dart, TypeScript.
• Backend: Rust, Go, Python, Node.js, Java, Scala, C#.
• Cloud & DevSecOps: Secure Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, IoT, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines.
• GIS (Geospatial): ArcGIS, QGIS, Spatial Analysis, Geoprocessing.

Eligibility Criteria

The program is looking for candidates with strong technical foundations. You must meet one of the following criteria:

1. B.E. / B.Tech Candidates

• Streams: Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or ECE.
• Status: Must be in the Final Year (Pursuing) OR already Completed.

2. M.Tech Candidates

• Streams: AI & ML, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• Status: Pursuing OR Completed.

3. PhD Candidates

• Research Area: Work related to AI & ML, DevSecOps, Software Engineering, or Big Data.

Stipend & Duration

This is a paid internship with a generous stipend structure for a government program.

• Daily Stipend: ₹1,000 per day.
• Total Duration: 75 Days.
• Total Potential Earnings: Approximately ₹75,000.
• Internship Dates: January 12, 2026 – March 27, 2026.

Interns will be posted at one of the prominent technology hubs of the Indian Army:

• New Delhi
• Bengaluru
