Temporary Nonprofit Administration Summer Intern at North Carolina State University (Onsite Role) 15$/hr Stipend

North Carolina State University (NCSU) is hiring a Temporary Nonprofit Administration Summer Intern for the nationally acclaimed JC Raulston Arboretum. This is a hands-on role designed for students who want to understand the inner workings of a major nonprofit and educational garden.

Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, this internship goes beyond simple administrative tasks. You will be involved in special events, marketing, membership processing, and volunteer administration. It is an excellent entry point for students interested in Nonprofit Management, Public Horticulture, or University Administration.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the daily operations of the Arboretum, gaining practical experience in:

1. Marketing & Communications

• Content Creation: Draft and send email newsletters. Create and schedule social media content.
• Design: Use tools like Canva or Adobe to create visual assets.
• Outreach: Post educational programs to community calendars to drive attendance.

2. Operations & Membership

• Data Management: Assist with membership processing, data entry, and renewals.
• Member Relations: Handle member communications and support volunteer administration.
• Events: Assist with the planning and execution of special events.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

1. Academic Status

• Enrollment: Must be a Full-time undergraduate student in a 4-year college program.

2. Skills & Physical Requirements

• Soft Skills: Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication is a must.
• Physical: Ability to move about freely in the garden on uneven and often wet grounds.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.

3. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Canva, Adobe, or other design software.
• Photography and/or Videography experience is a huge plus.
