Securonix, a recognized leader in AI-Reinforced SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and a cybersecurity unicorn, is hosting the **SECUROTHON 2025** challenge. This is a chance for final-year students to secure a 4-5 month paid internship, contributing to NextGen cybersecurity products and working on AI-driven solutions.

The internship offers a hands-on learning platform to build a strong foundation in backend development, data structures, algorithms, and cloud-native environments, utilizing technologies like the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Internship Tracks & Key Responsibilities

Candidates can participate in one of two tracks (location will be assigned based on project needs in Bangalore or Pune):

Track 1: Software Engineer - Intern (Java / PHP)

• Focus: Develop and maintain backend components using Java or PHP.
• Skills: Apply OOP principles, support API development, and work with relational databases (SQL).
• Contribution: Assist in debugging, testing, and improving existing backend systems supporting NextGen SIEM platforms.

Track 2: Data Science Engineer - Intern

• Focus: Assist in building, testing, and evaluating ML or rule-based models for security analytics.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python, understanding of Data Analysis, Statistics, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Contribution: Analyze large volumes of log/event data, perform feature engineering, and document model findings.

Eligibility & Skills Required

The challenge is open to final-year students graduating in 2026 with a background in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI/ML, or related disciplines.

• Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must-Have: Willingness to work 5 days a week from the assigned office (Bangalore or Pune).

Contest and Selection Process

The selection is a multi-stage process conducted online:

1. Registration and Screening/Shortlisting.
2. Online Assessment (MCQ and Coding).
3. Technical Interview Round.
4. HR and Managerial Interview.
